Chocolate cakes with butter icing.
The following recipe is for butter cookies and icing
These cupcakes use the recipe for chocolate cupcakes which is very moist and delicious.
INGREDIENTS
3 / 4 cup - 6 oz - 175gm butter or margarine
3 / 4 cup - 6 oz - 175gm icing sugar
1 cup - 4 oz - 115gm self-rising flour
1 / 2 cup - 2 oz - 60 g cocoa
1 / 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 eggs
1 tablespoon warm water
METHOD
Cream butter or margarine with the cycle of sugar in a large bowl. Add the vanilla extract. Beat the eggs one at a time. Sift the flour and cocoa. Add the water bend. In the UK we have a wide choice of spreads. You can use the Benecol and Flora pro-active, if you do not want to lower cholesterol. I decide to use the Benecol to see what it was. I found it quite good, but it is not the same taste of butter.
3 oz - 75gm butter or margarine, Benecol spread, or
6 oz - 150gm icing sugar
1 tablespoon milk or water
METHOD
Mix butter and powdered sugar in a bowl. If using butter is a good idea to let soften if taken straight from the fridge. Add liquid and mix well. Then put the icing on a tool I use for pipes. I prefer this small amount, but I would use a large pastry bag with a large amount of ice butter. This tool has 4 different nozzles for practice with him until he gains control and drawings you want. It is very easy to do. You may need a little prepared with different colors of icing.
