3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 oz. unsweetened chocolate
1/3 cup unsalted butter
2 large eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup coarsely crushed peppermint candy
- Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
- Combine flour, baking powder and salt; set aside.
- Melt chocolate with butter; cool slightly.
- Beat eggs and sugar until light. Add chocolate mixture and stir until smooth. Fold in dry ingredients, nuts, and candy.
- Pour into to prepared pan. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist, but not wet, crumbs, 30 to 35 minutes.
- Cool before cutting into peppermint brownie squares.
