Banana Chocolate Cake Recipe


6 tbsp. butter
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup molasses
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2-1/2 cups mashed overripe bananas
2-3/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chocolate chips
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degree F.
  2. Cream together the butter and sugar with a mixer.
  3. Add the molasses and mix until combined.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla, and then mix in the bananas.
  5. Mix in the flour, baking soda, and salt until smooth.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Place the batter in a buttered and floured 9-inch springform mold. Bake for about 1 hour.
  8. Let the cake cool on a rack, cut it in half to form 2 layers, frost with your favorite chocolate frosting, and serve this banana chocolate cake.
