Apple Chocolate Chip Bread Recipe





Topping:
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Bread:
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup butter, softened
2 cup sugar
4 eggs
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup buttermilk
3 cups coarsely chopped apples
1 cup chopped walnuts
12 oz. semisweet chocolate chips

  1. Topping: In cup, combine sugar, cinnamon and walnuts; set aside.
  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease two 9x5x3-inch loaf pans.
  3. In small bowl, combine flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and nutmeg; set aside.
  4. In large bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla extract; mix well. Gradually beat in flour mixture alternately with buttermilk.
    Stir in apples, walnuts, and chocolate chips.
  5. Pour into prepared pans. Sprinkle with topping. Bake 50-60 minutes until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.
  6. Cool 15 minutes; remove from pans. Cool completely.

Chocolate Chip Bread Recipes

Chocolate Chip Bread Recipe





3/4 cup sugar
1 cup oil
4 eggs
3-1/2 to 4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon almond extract
8 oz. walnuts
12 oz. chocolate chips
  1. In a large bowl, mix together the sugar, oil, and eggs.
  2. Add the sifted flour, baking powder, vanilla, and almond extract, and mix well. Add the walnuts and the chocolate chips.
  3. Mixture should be very thick and sticky. Shape into two loaves and place on either side of a cookie sheet.
  4. Bake at 325 degrees F for 30-35 minutes and then remove from oven.
  5. Cut into slices while still warm and return to the oven for another 5-10 minutes, or until slices are light brown.
Banana Nut Chocolate Chip Bread Recipe

1/3 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup mashed banana
2 cups all-purpose flour
2-1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped pecans (or walnuts)
1/2 cup chocolate chips (or more if desired)
1/2 cup buttermilk
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Cream butter and sugar. Mix in egg and banana.
  3. Stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, nuts, and chocolate chips. Add this mixture to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk. Stir until just blended.
  4. Pour batter into a greased and floured loaf pan (9 x 5 x 3 inches). Bake for 65 minutes, or until bread tests done.
  5. Cool in pan for about 5 minutes, then turn out on a wire rack.
